The artwork of Alam Taslim revolves around the persona of IGOR, a monster that mutates from instant noodle. The name IGOR itself is taken from the Indonesian word for fried noodle: mI GOReng. To Taslim, IGOR is not merely fruit of his artistic imagination, rather his own child, that he has brought on tours since 2016 across cities of Indonesia in a quest that he describes as “looking for unexpected turns of events that may pop up along the way”.
