About the Artist

Born in Agam, West Sumatera.
Erianto has participated in many group and solo exhibitions and even received several awards, since he graduated as Master of Art from Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI Yogyakarta). He joined a residency programme is Passau City, Germany in 2011. Residing in Yogyakarta at the moment, Erianto is still actively pursuing his passion in art as his profession.
 
Being an artist, for Erianto, is almost a priviledge. It is one profession that does not have pension age, nor specific working time. It is free. And so the audience is also free to interpret his artworks according to the audience's personal experiences.
