Hati-hati dengan kaktus berduri,
bikin mampus dan nyeri.
Beri hati untuk kaktus yang berdiri, 
biarpun ketus tapi tidak iri.
 
Kaktusku bukanlah yang paling mewah,
setidaknya dia berbunga dan menghasilkan buah.
Kaktusku memang tajam dan berduri,
tetapi bisa bikin hatiku tercuri.
 
For this artwork, Eve keeps on reminding herself that everybody has their own way and time to grow. We should not compare or even interfere with other's personal lives. We should let others grow, just like we find our own way to grow.

About the Artist

Eve Koss, a Bali based painter, puts her memorable moments on canvas through bold colors and strokes. Her works are mainly about her daily life that sometimes, just sometimes, has moments she deemed worthy to come back to.
 
She grew up around artworks as her father has a penchant for collecting artworks. She remembers vividly how her father used to take her to art galleries when she was a litlle girl. Even until now, she often asks him for his advices and suggestions for her artworks.
