About the Artwork

---

Inspired by Japanese animation Ghibli, Ray Lidya took the character Princess Kaguya and pondered from there. She was in awe in how the fate of the protagonist in the story, which is Princess Kaguya, seems to be laid on concrete. However, in the end the protagonist fights to pave her own story, thus creates her own fate.

This is one of Ray Lidya's few art works that not have flowers. Instead, it has bamboo, which is essential in telling the story of Princess Kaguya.
